Governor Granholm stated Michigan has hit rock bottom and we need to bounce back!
Granholm has finally admitted that the State of Michigan economy had “hit bottom” and is ready for a rebound. According to the the latest headlines in Washington. Granholm said, ”
We have hit rock bottom, but we’ve got to keep pushing on this move to diversify our economy and educate our kids.” Education is key to Michigan and its success, one issue with educating our kids here is to make sure they have a job once they are educated.
Right now, there are hundreds of thousands of college kids getting tax credits and breaks on the State of Michigan. Once these students finish school, they find careers in other states that pay better and have a more robust job market with a competitive wage.
Granholm wants to forgive college debt by retaining students for careers that are opening up within Michigan economy. What about the students that won’t be in these specific fields of endeavor? These students will be leaving the State of Michigan to pursue employment in more qualified markets like New York, California, Florida, Chicago, and believe it or not Texas.
This is the Governor that the people of Michigan have voted in two consecutive terms, after the first year of unsuccessful attempts at turning the State of Michigan.
Statistics show that new job creation in Michigan are in these field:
Green Energy
Green Technology
Life Sciences
Agriculture
